What this site processes
Public pages request card catalogue, pricing, exchange-rate and public-interest information from the providers credited in Terms, sources & credits. Tracker accounts use a username and password and process the Portfolio details, Wishlist choices, grading notes and images each account holder chooses to save. No email address or real name is required.
Private Portfolio and Wishlist
Each account's Portfolio and private Wishlist records are stored separately in the site database, and uploaded card photographs are stored under an account-specific private key. They are returned only after the server validates the signed Tracker session. Account passwords are salted and hashed before storage and are never returned to the browser. A public Wishlist contains only the card details an account holder has chosen to place on their Wishlist and can be viewed by anyone with its public link.
Camera scanning
Scan a Card uses the device camera only after permission is granted. The captured image stays on the device while the card is matched. It is uploaded to account-specific private storage only when the signed-in user chooses Portfolio and saves the card.
Public-source data
Demand Lab analyses public card records, post text, engagement data, knowledge results and open-source project metadata returned by TCGdex, Bluesky, Reddit, Wikimedia and GitHub. Open Research Search sends only the visitor's search words to those fixed public services. Reddit results are limited to recent public posts and are discarded when they do not match the card query. The site does not ask visitors to sign in to those services, access browser cookies or send arbitrary URLs for retrieval, and it does not sell personal information.
Retention and control
Recommendation snapshots are retained so historic claims can be audited. Account records, Portfolio records, Wishlist entries and uploaded images remain until the account holder replaces or removes them. Infrastructure providers may keep short-lived security and operational logs.
Learning data
When an outcome file is added in the private area, the site saves the dated results so its machine-learning model can compare past forecasts with what actually happened. This information stays in the site's private database and is not sent to ChatGPT or another paid AI service.
Important limitation
This is an independent research tool, not an official Pokémon service. Do not enter payment-card details, identity documents or other sensitive personal information into card notes.
